Terms & Policies

1. Although many of my clients have been admitted to top colleges and universities, I cannot guarantee admissions results for any student.

2. I cannot write essays for you. Ethical codes forbid third parties preparing essays for applicants. I can guide and edit, but I will not write the essays for you. As such, the quality of the final essays will depend largely on the student’s writing ability and effort. While I try my best to help students produce essays that reflect their best work, I cannot guarantee that the essays will be flawless or of the quality one might expect from a professional writer.

3.On average, the Common Application essay takes 20-25 hours of lesson time. Supplemental essays range from approximately 2-5 hours depending on word count. Similar prompts can allow recycling of previous essay material, which speeds along the process. If the student has drafts to bring to the first session (depending on the quality of the drafts), this can also speed up the process. After the first 5 hours, I can estimate the predicted time required better, so if you'd like to know, please email me directly.

4. Cancellation Policy. Any no-show, reschedule, or cancellation within the 24 hours immediately prior to a lesson will be charged in full. Please let me as soon as possible if you have to cancel.

5. Essay Usage Policy. Unless otherwise stated, you are granting permission for your essay drafts to be shared with current and potential clients. This may include marketing purposes on the website and promotional materials. I will take care to protect your name and personal details so that your essays will not be identifiable. If you wish to opt out of this agreement, please let me know and I will not use your materials for any purposes outside your lessons.

6. Email Availability. I will always make an effort to respond to emails as promptly as possible. Upon sending me an email, you can expect my response within 24 hours throughout much of the year, but at times it might take me up to 48 hours to get back to you — particularly for non-urgent emails received during the busiest application months (October through December). In general, please budget for a 48-hour turnaround time when possible.
